ADEOLA AFOLAYAN

Adeola Afolayan is a Nigerian. She is a baker, a mental health advocate and works as a Logistics manager. She is married to her best friend. Through her activism, she has made it her goal to reach out and help those suffering from depression and to show those people that there are ways to survive it.
She graduated from the university in 2018 with a degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. She has spent almost half of her adulthood in the UK, Wales. She moved to Canada in August 2020. And she was also a black student officer at the university.
She struggled with depression and mental health, which led her to attempt to take her own life twice. She has since set boundaries and found things that helped her heal. One of which is baking; she found baking therapeutic for her mental health. She believes she is in a better position to help other people going through depression come out of their shackles because she has gone through that phase.

Adeola Afolayan writes this fantastic book to help others struggling with depression. Being a survivor of depression, still in the healing process, she knows how tough it is to overcome endless thoughts and numbness.
This phase of sadness motivated her to create a self-help book that would serve as therapy for its readers. Adeola wants to lend a helping hand to those in need through her book. She believes in fighting back against her condition. She is a compassionate human and always empathetic toward others. That’s why she wants other people to get benefit from her experiences.
